Walnut Spice Bars
Call it a cookie or call it a bar - makes no difference to how good it is! It does remind me of a molasses or spice cookie and I love the weight that the walnuts add.
I substituted all the flour for gluten free flour, used monk fruit sweetener instead of granulated sugar and coconut oil instead of shortening and I can report that all went well. Perhaps a bit on the dry side but other than that, quite a tasty to treat to have with a cup of tea or coffee. Enjoy!
