Cocoa Peanut Squares

1/3 cup karo syrup, light or dark

1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunk style)

3 cups kellogs cocoa krispies

Combine syrup and sugar in 3 quart saucepan. Cook over moderate heat, stirring frequently until mixture bubbles around edges of pan. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter until completely mixed. Add krispies, stirring until well coated with syrup mixture. Press into greased 8 or 9” square pan. Cool - cut into squares.

A couple of notes: We used a sprouted brown rice cocoa crispy cereal and it was delicious! Also, these do get much harder as they cool so crunch away!
