Chocolate Crackles

We found 2 recipes for Chocolate Crackles in the first recipe box. They are the same! It’s quite possible one was copied off of the other…

I had not made a melted chocolate cookie before I tried this recipe out with my daughter, Abi. They were simple to make and satisfying to eat - the 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts really made these seem more substantial to me and they make a pretty cookie. I think these would be a great cookie to make for a holiday cookie exchange or to give as a gift.

Method: Melt your chocolate (I wonder about swapping for dark chocolate here…). Combine with sugar and oil. Add eggs one at a time; beat well. Add vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder + salt and add to the chocolate mixture. Stir in nuts. Chill the dough! Drop teaspoons full of dough into powdered sugar. Roll to coat. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes and cool.
