Taco Salad

A 1970s Taco Salad Recipe for Lori Lee, who requested a taco salad. Fun fact, my mom’s name is Lori Lee and these are her mom’s recipes…she also happens to love taco salads. She claims this was not sent into the Forum for her but it’s a funny coincidence. I grew up with this style of taco salad at home. Wouldn’t be the same without Fritos or Doritos.

During my usual “researching” related to this recipe, I learned that Taco Bell has been around since 1962 - I had no idea! Also, Taco Bell and Wendy’s had taco salads on their menus in the 1980s (must have been popular) — I’ll leave one of the commercials for you below!
