No Bake Brownies

My advise to you is this: use quick cook oats and don't dump and mix!

I dumped all the ingredients together before I realized I was supposed to boil the sugar, cocoa, milk and butter in a saucepan first. When mine chilled overnight it was still very soft and grainy like the sugar hadn't dissolved at all. The flavor is not super chocolatey and very sugary and I prefer a baked brownie anyway but it was fun to try! Let us know if you give it a try!

No Bake Brownies

Makes 2 dozen - Kathy Schwain

2 cups sugar

4 tsp cocoa

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup oatmeal (quick)

dash salt

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 cup peanut butter

Mix cocoa, sugar, milk, butter in a saucepan. Bring to boil and boil 1 minute. Pour over peanut butter, oatmeal, salt, vanilla, mix well. Press into 9x13 greased pan. Chill until set (overnight).
